Where is the site and how big is it?
The site is located to the north of Red Lodge, east of the A11, west of Park Farm Drive and north of Acorn Way. The site is around 28 hectares in total.
What sort of houses will there be?
There will be a mix of affordable and private market housing. The final location and mix of the affordable homes would be set out as part of a detailed planning application later down the line, but we do know that 30% of homes (90 homes) would be required to be affordable housing. Within the different character areas, new homes will be a mix of 2-storey and 3-storey, with occasional 4-storey homes proposed in the area of the northern gateway.
When will it be built?
If the masterplan is approved by West Suffolk Council later this year, we will submit an outline planning application (possibly late in 2022) and construction could start in 2024. A phasing plan for developing the site would be submitted with the outline planning application.
